Family First is committed to making the state of Victoria a better place for everyone. That’s why we’ll be campaigning hard in the lead up to the November election to make sure you’re taken care of.
What we care about:
- Making our streets safer
- Better health care
- Improved public transport
- More affordable housing
Safer streets:
Victoria has become a state held to ransom by binge drinking and alcohol fuelled violence with one in two people too frightened to go out on the streets at night. This is because the government has been slack in addressing our culture of binge drinking. Family First remains committed to stemming the flow of anti-social behaviour by giving our police and courts more power to clean up our streets.
Health care:
Our hospital system is in disarray with the state and federal governments bickering over who should take responsibility. However, Family First believes this blame game needs to end with patients being the primary focus. We need more beds and more GPs now because no one should be forced to wait for an excessive length of time for quality health care.
Public transport:
Victorians are sick and tired of the continued mismanagement of the public transport system. Family First is committed to delivering a first class transport system where its easy to buy a ticket and services run on time.
Housing affordability:
Everyone should have the opportunity to live the great Australian dream of owning their home. However, for many Australians this dream is becoming harder and harder. Family First believes the state government needs to release more land to stop housing prices from spiralling out of control.
